Our Story

Our story starts with a vision. A vision to create something different.

We discovered that men's formal shoes are typically not developed with comfort in mind. We did however come across a few brands that were, but they were not stylish to cater for the modern man. We concluded that either style or comfort are compromised when buying formal men's footwear.  We struggled to find the ideal pair and no longer wanted to pay premium prices for suboptimal shoes, so we set out to change that.

The challenge for us was, how do we create modern shoes with all the comfort features, without impacting the sizing and shape? That's where the re-engineering came in. We took apart the layers of a formal mens shoe and developed a new insole, outsole and found the highest quality upper full grain calf leather in Italy (see here). After many trips to Italy, trialling many materials, samples and prototypes we finally developed a full collection we could launch - and here we have it! click here to shop the collection.
